Hot Stone Massage

This therapeutic stone massage is different. I do not simply place the stone on the patient, I do deep therapeutic massage with the stone in my hands. I also can alternate with cool stones for excellent therapeutic benefits.

Hot Stone Therapy is billable to your extended Medical Plan under the designation of ‘RMT’ - Yay!

Restore and balance the Nervous System while releasing the effects of stress, injury and trauma.

CST is a gentle hands-on treatment for the whole body; the touch is light, still and performed over clothing (loose fighting is best). The treatment is focused on supporting the health of the whole being, especially the Nervous System. This supports greater ease and helps the body decrease symptoms. The therapy creates a safe space for traumatic experiences to emerge and resolve smoothly without being overwhelming or re-stimulating.

Stephanie loves meeting new people and getting an understanding of each persons history. Her approach varies from person to person depending on what she can intuitively pick up from the body. Through her practice, she has seen the power of simply helping the nervous system to “drop” in order to regain equilibrium through the many layers of the body; which in turn results in a faster recovery.

Stephanie takes a creative approach to help determine a home-care plan that works for the individual. She is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and as such incorporates breathing into her practice.

Outside of work, you can catch Stephanie in nature: trail running with her dog Django, mountain biking in the forest or playing in our beautiful oceans. She is a world traveler and even lived on the beaches of Australia for 5 years. Don’t ask her about her love for surfing though, unless you have a whole day to chat.

Stephanie is trained in: - CranioSacral with Upledger - Osteopathic approach to massage

Elisha Maye Veldhuijzen is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist (CTCMA) and a Reiki Master of the Usui Ryoho lineage. Her diverse education includes photojournalism, floristry and applied theatre. Her passion for creating balance, and curiosity about what it means for all of us to be human, can be seen in her approach to health and wellness.

Elisha earned her Acupuncture education from Pacific Rim College in Victoria, BC, and has worked as an acupressure practitioner since 2019.

Elisha has been dedicated to a holistic approach to wellness, as demonstrated in her work of many years as a Reiki Master, a Qigong teacher, and Shi Liao (food therapy) coach.

Passionate about mental and emotional wellness, she brings (combines science and intuition) a holistic (scientific and intuitive) approach to supporting health to mind, body and spirit. She teaches Qigong and Shi Liao (food therapy) to her patients intending to empower her patients to find a balance toward greater happiness and fulfillment from within.

First-generation-born Australian Elisha grew up with a rich introduction to multiculturalism. At age 20, Elisha lived in Europe, later immigrating to Canada over 16 years ago. Now, as a devout Taoist, she offers her deeply-compassionate space-holding skills with her culturally-rich life experience in all treatment spaces.

Elisha practices Chinese Medicine and Reiki from a safe and compassionate world lens; she is trauma-informed, gender-inclusive, and an ally of LGBTQIA2+.

When not in treatment with patients or practicing Qi Gong, Elisha can be found hiking and foraging in the magical forests of Vancouver Island with her friends and her sweetheart dog.
